Respiratory Therapist – In House Contract

Responsibilities

• Administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices.
• Administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications.
• Maintaining clearance of patients' natural and artificial airways.
• Providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• If applicable, obtaining blood samples, running blood samples, maintaining the Arterial blood gas laboratory, reporting analyte results, and interpreting blood gas data.

Requirements

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in state of employment (RT, RRT, CRT).
• Certified ACLS.
• Certified BLS.
• Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

AMG Specialty Hospital – North Mississippi is seeking In House Contract Respiratory Therapist (RT) for Day Shifts to perform the above responsibilities. This In House Contract will be an 8 week contract!
