About the Role
Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.
Responsibilities
- Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%)
- Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness (e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education). (20%)
- Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%)
- Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT).
- Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.
