About the role
Performs comprehensive respiratory care for patients based on physicians' orders, acting as a key resource for medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Delivers direct patient care
- Consults on therapy effectiveness
- Performs assigned duties
- All RTs train on and rotate through the NICU
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoArc-approved program
- Holds a current RCP license
- Possesses an RRT credential from NBRC
- Emergency Room PALS certification required for ER staff
Skills & Equipment
- Proficient with respiratory devices
- Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires minimal kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Preferred Experience
- Critical care experience
- ACLS certification (advantageous)
