About the role
The Certified Respiratory Therapist will perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. They will communicate with physicians and the respiratory team regarding patient progress in relation to the care plan.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations on patients with pulmonary conditions
- Treat and manage patients' respiratory needs
- Communicate with medical staff and the respiratory team regarding patient care
- May have additional duties assigned within the scope of the role
Requirements
- Completed degree in Respiratory Therapy
- RRT certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment
- Active ASBRT LRT certification required
- Active NBRC CRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on the area of assignment
