Respiratory Therapist FT Nights

About the Role

Performs respiratory therapy duties independently across acute and critical care settings, following physician orders and departmental policies. Consults with healthcare team members and recommends treatment options.

Responsibilities

• Completes general and critical care procedures, including invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, airway management, blood gas analysis, and patient education.
• Documents procedures accurately, communicates effectively with team members, and adheres to infection control standards.
• Provides recommendations and reports to the healthcare team, maintaining compliance with quality initiatives.
• Performs equipment cleaning and disinfection as required.
• Performs other assigned duties.
• Works independently under supervision, providing high-quality respiratory care.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and patients, ensuring safety and education.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in respiratory care, with graduation from an accredited program.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Certifications including BLS, with NRP, PALS, ACLS, and NPS as required.
• Skills to treat patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
