Respiratory Therapist FT Nights

About the role

This position performs respiratory therapy procedures in various acute and critical care settings, following physician orders and departmental policies. The role involves independent work, patient assessment, and collaboration with healthcare teams to recommend appropriate treatments.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and critical care respiratory procedures in compliance with guidelines.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and airway equipment.
• Obtain and analyze blood gases; document procedures and provide patient education.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and contribute to patient care planning.
• Adhere to infection control standards and perform equipment disinfection.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience; graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Skills

• Respiratory Care Practitioner license and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Current BLS certification; NRP, PALS, ACLS, etc., as required.
• Ability to treat patients across all age groups.
