Respiratory Therapist, Certified

Responsibilities

• Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
• Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
• Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Educates patients and families about illnesses and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
• Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
• Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
• Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

Requirements

• Associate's degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire/transfer.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire/transfer.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire/transfer.
• NRP certification.

Pay

Hourly range: $30.23 – $45.82
