Respiratory Therapist Assistant - PRN

About the role

This position supports respiratory therapy services by performing procedures under supervision, aligned with physicians' orders and departmental policies. The role is suitable for students enrolled in or recent graduates of an approved respiratory care program, with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures per physician’s orders and policies
• Document and charge for procedures; provide patient and family education
• Communicate effectively with team members and report accurately
• Perform blood gas analysis and reporting
• Follow infection control and equipment disinfection protocols
• Assist with other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of an approved respiratory care program
• Current BLS certification
• Excellent communication and adherence to safety standards
