Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer treatments such as MDI, nebulization, mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments.
- Explain procedures to patients and monitor during treatments.
- Record data accurately and perform invasive procedures like suctioning and arterial blood gas sampling.
- Assist with trauma and critical care transports and provide neonatal respiratory care.
- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure safety and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- Enrollment in an accredited respiratory program or Ohio license
