Respiratory Nurse RN

About the role

The Respiratory Nurse is responsible for providing clinical direction and in-services regarding patient care and other respiratory related issues to the facility working with the Respiratory Therapy Director.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Affirms and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs.
• Provides respiratory related services for established times or services within the Respiratory Care Practitioner scope of services.
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
• Schedules and directs the nursing staff to extent permitted by state practice act.
• Communicates with facility staff regarding relevant clinical and operational issues regarding the program and patient care issues.
• Affirms for patient’s respiratory needs. Assists with ventilator patients and work with ventilator.
• Notifies supervisor of any facility concerns or needs.
• Completes TARs at the end of each month checking for accurate information.
• Assists in resolving routine problems and communicating solutions to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Pay

RN Starting Wages at $47.40-$63.44 per hour. Wage Calculation is based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, and a RN $8/hr weekend warrior program. Flexible Pay Options: Get paid daily, weekly, or bi-weekly through UKG Wallet.
