Shift Hours: 7:00AM - 12:00PM
Shift: Days

Responsibilities
- Prepare, sanitize, calibrate, and verify respiratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Absorb and distribute medical-grade gases throughout the facility, including gas cylinders and liquid oxygen systems
- Perform equipment adjustments and coordinate with the Biomedical Department for minor repairs
- Ensure proper inventory, accessibility, and condition of respiratory equipment and related supplies
- Observe and support clinical respiratory procedures through shadowing and on-the-job exposure
Growth Opportunity
- Upon successful completion of the academic program, the intern is expected to obtain the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within six months of graduation in order to transition into a Respiratory Therapist role within BayCare.
- Failure to obtain the RRT credential within this timeframe will result in termination of employment due to non-qualification.
