What You'll Do

• Clean, disinfect, pasteurize, package, and distribute respiratory equipment.
• Stock, receive, organize, and distribute respiratory supplies and medical gases.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory and par management.
• Perform equipment pickup and delivery throughout the hospital while following infection control guidelines.
• Auxiliary with ventilator and BiPAP setup and function checks under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• Cook up preventive maintenance activities with the Biomedical Engineering team.
• Run daily department reports and maintain accurate records, logs, and statistics.
• Support staff, supervisors, and department leadership with operational and administrative needs.
• Maintain organized files, records, and supply inventories.
• Answer and route phone calls professionally and provide excellent customer service.
• Train and assist new employees and students when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve department efficiency and workflow.
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, attendance, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of college coursework.
• Preferred: Background or coursework in biological sciences.
• Preferred: Previous experience in inventory, supply chain, healthcare, or equipment management (helpful but not required).
