About the role
The Respiratory Clinical Sales Specialist at Quipt Home Medical plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life for patients with respiratory conditions. This position requires a strong background in respiratory therapy, with experience in both homecare and hospital settings. A solid understanding of sleep laboratory and ICU experiences is beneficial, as is certification as a Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services and education to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Achieve revenue objectives by implementing all Respiratory/Ventilation sales activities.
- Develop and expand new and existing businesses through in-services, training programs, and clinical expertise.
- Assess new and current accounts to determine referral numbers and projected usage of services.
- Present product and clinical application information to customers and physicians to increase their knowledge of respiratory/ventilation products and pulmonary disease management.
- Perform product demonstrations for all ventilation product lines, leading demonstrations without manufacturer support.
- Complete respiratory services to patients to maintain optimal respiratory function.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the current respiratory regimen and contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Instruct patients and caregivers on appropriate respiratory care and equipment protocols.
- Run reports and assess data objectively using basic computer operations.
- Complete other requirements related to the sales position.
Requirements
- Associates Degree (A.S.) or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Respiratory Therapy, encompassing homecare and hospital experience, with sleep laboratory experience a plus.
- ICU experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) (Some States- RN).
- Current state license or appropriate registration required.
- May be required to obtain additional state licensures to expand geographical coverage area.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence, with a good driving record.
- Must be 21 years or older to be covered on company auto insurance and have a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in basic computer operations including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook email, Office 365, Teams, and calendar applications.
- A minimum of one year of sales experience in the healthcare field or experience selling services is preferred.
