Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties including respiratory therapy, ventilator management, EKGs, and serving on the code team.
- Additional responsibilities may include exercise stress testing and pulmonary function testing.
- All duties are carried out in accordance with physician orders, using sound clinical judgment and technical expertise in patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from a program accredited by the Committee On Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC) or accredited by the American Medical Association’s Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA).
- Experience: One-year experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCPRT) license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association required within one year of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within one year of hire.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
