Respiratory Care Practitioner (CRT)

About the role

This role provides comprehensive respiratory therapy care for patients across all age groups within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting physician orders and performing patient assessments
• Managing ventilators and conducting bedside lab tests
• Ensuring patient safety through proper infection control and documentation
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver individualized treatments
• Responding to emergencies and maintaining accurate records
• Delivering patient-centered respiratory care
• Managing ventilator settings and performing bedside testing
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Respiratory Therapy Certificate from an approved program
• Valid Illinois RCP license
• CRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications within specified timeframes
• At least one year of respiratory therapy experience
