About the role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for assessing and restoring patients' cardiopulmonary function in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. They exercise initiative in problem-solving, interpret operating procedures, and work effectively across all ages. Supervised by senior staff, they must have appropriate certification, licensure, and experience in respiratory care, with a preference for those with acute care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages
- Interpret and apply clinical protocols and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Respond to patient needs and troubleshoot technical issues
- Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- BLS certification
- Sufficient clinical experience to work effectively in varied situations
Preferred: 1 year of acute care experience, strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
