Position Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 at Asante is an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner who has acquired additional credentialing and competencies as outlined in the Respiratory Critical Care Orientation, Respiratory Care Services Competency Evaluation, and Respiratory Care Services’ Career Ladder, in one or more of the following: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Care, Neonatal Care, Pulmonary Function Technology, Team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory care duties in the adult intensive care units.
- Attend to patients in the Emergency Room if applicable.
- Provide pediatric floor care if applicable.
- Enable the practitioner to manage blood gas labs, as assigned for specific job roles.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory related sciences, preferred.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- RT-P: Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start.
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
- At Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC): ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified from American Heart Association, NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA), PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification by the American Heart Association.

Position Details
- FTE: 0.9 | Full Time | 3rd Shift - Nights
- Salary Range: $39.91 - $54.89
- Shift Differentials: $1.79 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm, $3.75 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am, $1.60 extra for working weekends
