About the role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner roles at Kadlec Regional Medical Center offer a $20,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. This is a combined posting for Respiratory Care Practitioners and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for carrying out treatments/procedures according to provider orders within the Respiratory Therapy unit.
- Provides care in various areas of the medical center, including NICU, Adult ICU, Emergency Department, Birth Center, and general medicine.
- Maintains standards of professional respiratory care and acts as a resource to other staff members.
- Trains or communicates instructions to other employees and inspects work to ensure quality.
- May work in the outpatient pulmonary rehab area.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License required upon hire.
- Required National Provider certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Qualifications
- For Respiratory Care Practitioner: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution, 1 year of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting.
- For Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner: Graduated from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy, 2 years of Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an acute care medical setting. Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution, recent NICU, adult CCU, and open heart experience preferred.
Skills
National Provider certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Pay
The base pay range for Respiratory Care Practitioner is $36.31 to $57.70, and for Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner is $37.95 to $60.22. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), variable shift.
