Respiratory Care Director of Clinical Education

About the role

Department: Health Sciences. Immediate Supervisor: Respiratory Care Program Director. Positions Supervised: Clinical Preceptors. Term: 12 Months Full-time Exempt.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility of keeping records of student attendance, performance, immunization, background check, drug screenings, and academic course work are complete as required by clinical affiliates.
• Makes reports to the Respiratory Care Program Director and Dean of Health Sciences.
• Supervises the making of the departmental clinical schedule to be approved and coordinated by the Respiratory Care Program Director and Dean of Health Sciences.
• Accompanies students to clinical sites.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree or higher.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Professional license or certificate as required by Mississippi.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• At least two (2) years experience in clinical respiratory care.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
