About the role
Join the Respiratory Team at BJC Healthcare's Missouri Baptist Medical Center as a Respiratory Care Assistant. This is a perfect opportunity for respiratory students to gain experience!
Responsibilities
- Performs various basic routine diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures in the general care areas according to established standards, procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Recognizes and seeks assistance with abnormal findings and/or changes in patient status to other healthcare team members.
- Effectively communicates by participating in the exchange of information including documentation, handoff and works collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Holds self-accountable and seeks out opportunities for continuous learning and feedback and is able to prioritize and apply effective time management.
- Processes equipment according to manufacturer and industry standards.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory School Program.
- PRN schedule will work around school curriculum.
- Hands-on experience available.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- No experience supervisor experience required.
Skills
- Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS).
- Resp Educatnl Permit-MO Only.

Pay
- $20/hr For Less Than 1 Year of Experience
- $21/hr For Greater Than 1 Year of Experience
