About the role
The Respiratory Therapist (RT II) functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT II is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT II will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience.

- Maintain compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies
Requirements
- Minimum Level of Education: Associates Degree in Applied Science or equivalent, major in Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
- Preferred Educational Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Applied Science or equivalent, major in Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License, Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
- Additional Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability, PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
