Overview

The ideal Director of Nursing Float Candidate is very detail-oriented, organized, knowledgeable of policies and governmental regulations, passionate about supporting and training stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents, and capable of traveling to assigned sites Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department during the absence of a facility Director of Nursing in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices, reimbursement compliance, and governmental regulations, to maintain excellent care of all residents' needs.
  • Respond to situations where additional resources or oversight is required in facilities, with special emphasis on process, systems validation, and correction.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of job skills training, in-service education as required by state/federal regulations for the nursing department.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the ability to obtain multi-state licenses.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Eighty to ninety percent (80%-90%) travel with overnight stays.

Schedule

Weekly travel Monday through Friday with weekly overnight stays.
