Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an enriched learning experience through the Core Knowledge curriculum and individualized learning approaches.
  • Teach specialized instruction in reading, written expression, and mathematics.
  • Implement continuous progress monitoring and specialized instruction in social skills, executive functioning, and functional skills.
  • Write and conduct teacher components of special education evaluations.
  • Use instructional technology effectively.
  • Create schedules and manage paraprofessionals.
  • Communicate effectively with general education teachers, special education team members, and parents.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in specialized instruction in reading, written expression, and mathematics.
  • Experience with continuous progress monitoring and specialized instruction in social skills, executive functioning, and functional skills.
  • Ability to write and conduct teacher components of special education evaluations.
  • Proficiency in using instructional technology.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license in Minnesota.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
