Resource Operations Specialist
About the role
The Shared Services - Student Wellness Center (SWC) department is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Resource Operations Specialist to support fiscal, administrative, and people operations. This role plays a critical part in advancing student health and well-being by optimizing financial resources, supporting student employment programs, and ensuring efficient operational processes across the SWC.
Responsibilities
Oversee accounts receivable, billing operations, and financial reporting
Manage insurance billing, reconciliation, and compliance with CSU and SJSU policies
Cookordination audits, internal controls, and financial analysis
Cookordinate recruitment, onboarding, and position management for staff and student employees
Administer student employment processes, including hiring, payroll, and workforce planning
Maintain employee records and support people operations functions
Develop reports, dashboards, and operational documentation
Cookoperate with campus partners to improve processes and resolve operational challenges
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training
Four (4) years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field
At least three (3) years of experience using administrative practices and procedures, including project management
Experience working within a higher education environment
At least two (2) years of experience with hourly employee position management, including student employees and/or per diem employees
At least two (2) years of experience working within a healthcare facility, including medical billing
Demonstrated experience working with highly confidential processes
