About the role

Resource International, Inc. (Rii) offers a broad range of services including planning, civil engineering design, program and construction management, technology services, and more. Established in 1941, Rii employs more than 200 engineers and professionals throughout the Midwest. Our corporate office is located in Columbus, Ohio with full-service branch offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

• Assist geotechnical drillers with daily drilling operations.
• Load, unload, and organize drilling equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Handle soil and rock samples as directed by project personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area around drilling equipment.
• Auxiliary drill rig setup, operation, and breakdown.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and support equipment.
• Drive company pickup trucks and tow utility trailers as needed.
• Follow all company, client, and OSHA safety requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a field crew in changing conditions.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in construction, drilling, landscaping, utility work, farming, trucking, military service, or other outdoor labor positions.
• Preferred: Experience towing trailers or operating equipment.
• Required: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Required: Ability to drive a pickup truck and tow a utility trailer.
• Required: Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours.
• Required: Ability to perform physically demanding work on a daily basis.
• Required: Ability to pass pre-employment and client-required drug screenings and background checks.
• Required: Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
