About the role

Provide classroom assistance and instruction for children with special needs. Implement behavior plans, attend team meetings to problem-solve, collect data on interventions, and create and implement support for students with disabilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year of experience working in a school or with children with special needs, or any combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties
• Experience supervising children preferred
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged student, school, teacher, and parent information
• Willingness to participate in training sessions as directed
• Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card required

Schedule

• Instructional Assistant (Resource): 21 hours per week, 194 days per school year
• Lunch Duty/Alternative Recess: 10 hours per week, 180 days per school year
• Crossing Guard: 5 hours per week, 180 days per school year

Pay

• Instructional Assistant (Resource): $18.11/hour (Band - Support A12)
• Lunch Duty and Crossing Guard: $15.56/hour
