Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)

About the role
We are looking for an integral and hands-on Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) to support our military client at Ft Gordon, GA. The REM will assist the installation in achieving a robust energy management program by adhering to energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. Responsibilities include developing and implementing actions and projects related to facility maintenance, repair, and construction, as well as providing design review comments, project and program management support, and identifying energy savings projects. The role involves promoting, educating, and adopting energy and water resource conservation and management activities to optimize utility resource use.
An active T1 background clearance and United States citizenship are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide spectrum of energy engineering and energy management functions
- Support facility repair and construction activities
- Provide design review comments
- Offer project management support
- Identify energy savings projects
- Conduct energy audits
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A four-year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management.
- An Environmental Science, business, or related degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management.
- A two-year technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management.
- No college degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management.
Additional requirements:
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
- Active T1 Background Clearance
- United States citizenship and ability to pass a background check
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) and/or certification(s) as required by the client
