Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)
Location: Fort Gordon, GA
About the role
We are looking for an integral and hands-on Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) to support our military client. The REM will assist the installation in achieving a robust energy management program by adhering to energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. Responsibilities include developing and implementing actions and projects related to facility maintenance, repair, and construction, providing design review comments, project and program management support, identifying energy savings projects, and ensuring energy efficiency and water conservation measures are incorporated into all activities. The role involves supporting planning, development, execution, and analysis across multiple energy programs, as well as promoting and educating on energy and water resource conservation.
An active T1 background clearance and United States citizenship are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide spectrum of energy engineering and energy management functions
- Support facility repair and construction activities
- Provide design review comments
- Offer project management support
- Identify energy savings projects
- Conduct energy audits
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A four-year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 5 years of experience in energy management
- An Environmental Science, business, or related degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in energy management
- A two-year technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management
- No college degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management
Additional requirements:
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
- Active T1 background clearance
- United States citizenship and ability to pass a background check
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) and certifications as required by the client
