Responsibilities
- Maintain Public Areas: Ensure all public spaces are consistently clean and visually appealing.
- Grounds and Exterior Appearance: Pick up litter, empty trash, sweep, pressure wash, maintain cleanliness of parking lots, remove cobwebs, clean windows and doors, report landscape concerns, assist with seasonal decorating and property setups.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans, replace liners, transport waste, sort recycling, ensure dumpster enclosures are clean and orderly.
- Clean and Sanitize Public Restrooms: Maintain restrooms to the highest standards, restock supplies, report plumbing issues.
- Clean and Sanitize Floors: Vacuum, sweep, wet mop, spot-clean carpet stains, dust mop, assist with carpet extraction, floor stripping, and waxing.
- General Cleaning: Dust furniture, clean glass and mirrors, wipe handrails, sanitize high-touch surfaces, remove fingerprints, clean vending areas, maintain storage rooms.
- Resort Support: Provide operational assistance, help with event setup and breakdown, furniture movement, table and chair arrangement, deliveries, snow removal, emergency cleanups, and guest requests.
- Seasonal Responsibilities: Winter: Shovel entrances, apply ice melt, assist with snow removal, ensure emergency exits remain accessible. Spring/Summer: Perform pressure washing, clean outdoor furniture, prepare patios, clean waterfront and pool decks, support landscaping efforts. Fall: Manage leaf cleanup, seasonal storage tasks, prepare for winter, store outdoor furniture.
- Safety: Adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines, operate equipment safely, report hazards, follow lockout/tagout procedures, maintain a safe work environment, assist during emergencies.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive guest experience, smile and greet guests warmly, provide directions, respond professionally to guest requests, notify supervisors of concerns, maintain a professional appearance, represent Broadwell Hospitality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance roles advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and outstanding attendance record.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support other departments.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical capability to frequently stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull cleaning equipment, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach overhead, while working indoors and outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
