Resort Groundskeeper

About the Role

Resort Groundskeepers perform a variety of landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties. They ensure our resorts are well-maintained and look presentable while providing quality customer service to residents and guests. On occasion, they may assist with light maintenance work throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lawns are manicured appropriately
• Regularly treat weeds, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions
• Pick up trash and debris from common areas and streets daily; empty trash in common areas
• Perform shoveling, maintenance, or repair duties using saws, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, drills, or other hand tools
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed
• Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns to management
• Maintain resort vehicles and equipment
• Ensure the resort adheres to curb appeal standards
• Maintain resort pool(s) by testing and adjusting chemical levels (if applicable)
• Safely operate vehicles for job duties
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months of previous groundskeeping experience in the resort industry (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general grounds maintenance techniques
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures
• Proficiency in operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
• Valid driver’s license

Pay

$17 per hour
