Groundskeeper

About the role

The groundsperson maintains the physical grounds of the hotel, including the parking lot and courtyard. This role requires attention to detail to ensure a high-quality appearance of the entire property, along with dexterity, a fast pace, and the ability to use different equipment when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep the physical grounds of the hotel including parking lot and courtyard
• Cut grass and water flowers
• Perform daily inspection of physical grounds and equipment
• Maintain clean grounds including sweeping curbs, cleaning parking lot and courtyard
• Use a variety of grounds keeping tools and equipment such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers
• Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, requests, and complaints

Safety and environmental performance

• Ensure that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to by personal example
• Support full hotel compliance with safety rules to further the goal of zero (0) accidents and encourage reporting and correcting near misses
• Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to ensure guest satisfaction and consistent service
• Immediately report all injuries to Loss Prevention, as well as the manager on duty

Qualifications

• Zero to two years of experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Basic knowledge of landscaping preferred
