Resin Plant Manager

Position Summary

Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company products in the Resin and Bucketwash departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Position Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily, weekly, & monthly activities and supervise the activities of the leadmen and their operators on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
• Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Attends Supervisor Safety Meeting and conducts employee safety/communication meetings as required.
• Ensures that all Team Members and Supervisors follow NPAA safety policies, work rules, S.O.P.s and Process Control Tables.
• Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Covers production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
• Provides and/or coordinates training for Team Members and assists in the continuous development of the departmental training program.
• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
• Administers performance appraisals an a prompt and professional manner.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

Position Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or Engineering
• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience
• Experience with applicable EPA and OSHA regulations including PSM
• Experience with reactive chemistry and control systems
• Experience with SAP
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on data analysis
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay

Salary Range: $100,783.06 to $168,124.76 annually. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
