About the role
Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Part-Time/Part-time on call Residential Youth Care Professional at San Pasqual Treatment Center- Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program in Escondido, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and around-the-clock in person supervision of youth.
- Provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each student through individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development.
- Create an atmosphere supportive of the needs of the students.
- Monitor and document student behaviors and activities.
- Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
- Work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior experience working with Residential care for youth or Youth ages 12-17.
- Lived experience can be supplemented for professional.
Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Pass a physical examination.
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Benefits
- Starting pay at $22/hr.
- $1000 Training Bonus paid at 90 days upon demonstrated competency.
