This is a W‑2 employee position with no fees required to apply, interview, or be hired, and the role requires travel to residential job sites within the local service area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive residential energy audits using standardized procedures
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, including blower door, combustion appliance zone (CAZ), static pressure, and system efficiency testing
  • Evaluate insulation, air sealing, and overall building envelope performance
  • Identify energy efficiency upgrades and potential health or safety concerns
  • Educate homeowners on energy‑saving measures and system performance
  • Install minor efficiency measures (e.g., LED bulbs, low‑flow water devices)
  • Document audit findings accurately using company systems and software
  • Create detailed work orders for internal teams based on audit results
  • Inspect completed work to verify compliance with specifications
  • Manage multiple active audit projects and maintain a consistent workflow

Requirements

  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
  • Stand, walk, and move for extended periods throughout the day
  • Access confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Climb ladders and work at heights up to three stories
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Use hand and power tools as needed

Qualifications

  • 0‑1 year of relevant experience (entry‑level candidates encouraged to apply)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • BPI Certification preferred (required within 3‑6 months; employer‑provided training available)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working in residential environments and communicating with homeowners
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office; energy modeling software is a plus)
