Residential Warehouse Trader Analyst

About the role

In this role, you will assist in the assessment of market value for loan portfolios, set trade-level pricing and haircuts, coordinate with internal risk partners, and support key governance and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with origination, trading, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth execution across the deal lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute buy and sell orders or price liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
• Monitor and analyze global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
• Manage and monitor the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
• Collaborate with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
• Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement.
• Lead and supervise a team (if applicable), guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.
• Take responsibility for end results of a team’s operational processing and activities.
• Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately.
• Take responsibility for embedding new policies/procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
• Advise and influence decision-making within your area of expertise.
• Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
• Deliver work in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
• Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through acquired technical experience, guided by precedents.
• Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, building a network of contacts outside the team and external to the organization.

Requirements

• Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes and financial products, particularly in residential or structured finance.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentation development.
• Understanding of market risk concepts, P&L reporting, and operational workflows.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience in your assigned area of expertise.
• Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within your area of expertise.
• Ability to make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.

Qualifications

This role is regulated by FINRA.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $110,000
Maximum Salary: $125,000
(Base salary only; does not include other compensation or benefits.)
