RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN'S HOME (VIRGINIA WATER)
Pro Social Partners are partnering with North Star Children's Homes to recruit a Residential Support Worker for their children's home in Virginia Water, Surrey. North Star supports children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, offering a consistent, caring presence to help them feel safe and thrive.
About the role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care, structure, and positive role modelling for children in the home. You will support them with school, activities, life skills, and community time, and contribute to key working, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records. Working within a close-knit team, you will help maintain a safe, warm, and nurturing environment.
- Mixed shift pattern across mornings, afternoons, and full days
- On average, one weekend off in three
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and positive role modelling for children
- Support children with school, activities, life skills, and community time
- Contribute to key working, care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
- Work as part of a team to maintain a safe and nurturing home environment
Requirements
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or above (essential)
- Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in a residential setting
- A calm, patient approach to children who have experienced trauma
- Reliability and strong teamwork skills
