About the role
The Residential Support Manager position is designed to cover for vacant Residential Manager positions. This role ensures the continuity of care, maintains program standards, and supports the development of team members.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to quality of care standards, including medical, behavior, and treatment plans, data collection, and documentation.
- Manage staffing needs based on defined ratios and attendance of people served.
- Provide direct care and supervision during program absences.
- Conduct monthly supervisions and regular team meetings to guide and mentor employees.
- Give regular feedback and recognize employee achievements to foster growth and development.
- Complete administrative tasks such as finance, HR, payroll, quality assurance, and incident reporting.
- Maintain certifications and complete required training based on Bridgewell policies and funding sources.
- Create an inclusive environment that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Manage financial responsibilities, including program expenses, overtime, supply ordering, and budget reviews.
- Ensure confidentiality of Personal Health Information (PHI) and other related information.
- Collaborate with guardians, family members, and service providers to meet the needs of people served.
- Perform on-call duties based on a rotating schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or Associate's Degree with 3+ years of direct support experience or significant industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with people with disabilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and team leadership experience.
- Ability to set priorities, delegate tasks, and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in technology, including data management systems, Microsoft Office, and records management systems.
- Certified in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR, and other required certifications.
- Current US driver's license and one year of driving experience.
Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate expectations clearly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations.
- Ability to lift and move people of varying weights.
- Ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
