Residential Supervisor - Overnight

About the role

The Home for Little Wanderers' Harrington House in Dorchester, MA seeks a Residential Supervisor to support youth who have experienced trauma and/or have significant emotional and behavioral challenges. The role involves working on a trauma‑informed care team, receiving extensive training, and having opportunities for career and professional development. The Home has over 200 years of service, operating 25+ community‑based and residential programs serving youths from birth to age 26, providing safe surroundings, permanent loving relationships, and a path toward a better future.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Milieu/Program Director to ensure appropriate staffing coverage
• Hire, train, supervise, performance manage and evaluate direct care staff
• Mediate staff issues and employee conflicts
• Host team meetings for staff and provide training and weekly supervision

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with youth
• High school diploma or equivalency; bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• May be required to operate a vehicle
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license and a “satisfactory” driving record
• May be required to have access to a personal vehicle for use during work hours
• May be required to use personal vehicle to transport clients on occasion if/when needed
• If required to transport clients, must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements and keep vehicle registration current

Schedule

This position is Thursday‑Saturday, 11 PM – 9 AM.
