Residential Supervisor

Pathway Family Services is seeking a full-time Residential Supervisor for our residential facility. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in a Residential Program. Successful completion of agency-provided Safe Crisis Management training and Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training is required. National certification must be obtained within the first year of employment. A valid driver’s license and compliance with agency underwriting standards for driving agency vehicles and transporting clients are also required.

About the role

As a Residential Supervisor, you will assist in strengthening families by supporting youth with challenging behaviors in a therapeutic environment. Your role will focus on promoting health, safety, and well-being through daily interactions, therapeutic groups, and positive behavior management strategies. You will advocate for youth as they work toward their goals and highest quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision of direct service program staff and administrative support as required.
  • Promote Trauma Informed Care treatment modalities in program, supervisory, and management activities.
  • Oversee and supervise a team of staff working with children in a residential setting.
  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and supervision.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and provide training.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with case management, therapy, and education departments for comprehensive care.
  • Enforce agency policies and procedures among staff.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff regarding concerns or emergencies during shifts.
  • Assist in recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of staff interactions, incidents, and progress reports.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and support.
  • Collaborate with the residential director and other supervisors to improve program functioning.
  • Develop and implement procedures to promote accurate and timely information flow.
  • Advocate, promote, and practice cultural sensitivity and teamwork in all interactions.
  • Follow all accreditation and state standards for the PRTF.

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in a Residential Program.
  • Completion of Safe Crisis Management training (provided by the agency).
  • Completion of Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Certification Training.
  • National certification within the first year of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with agency underwriting standards.
