About the role
This position supports an adult Mental Health Residential program in Spring Grove, Pa. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of a community or long-term structured residential program for individuals with mental illness, reporting directly to the Assistant Program Director.
Responsibilities
- Supervise direct support staff, monitor and evaluate employee performance according to company performance management policies and procedures.
- Ensure individuals' health, safety, and welfare, enhance the quality of their lives, and integrate them into the community.
- Participate in and supervise program staff in the implementation of behavioral management and skill training programs.
- Provide overall on-site supervision and implementation of the daily operations of the program, including on-call responsibilities.
- Account for all individuals and program budgets; maintain an adequate supply of funds for individuals and the program.
- Submit financial and program documentation to supervisor for review.
- Communicate relevant information to families, outside agencies, and other professionals as necessary.
- Transport or assist with transportation coordination for individuals to appointments in the community.
- Perform job responsibilities of direct care staff on an as-needed basis.
- Learn and model the five principles of trauma-informed care: safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
- Promote cultural, racial, language, and gender access, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of working experience in programs for individuals with mental illness.
- A valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.
- Able to work flexible hours.
Pay
Base rate $22.50/hr. Education and experience are taken into account for potential higher starting rates. Additional $1.00/hr for all hours worked at this location, plus an awake overnight shift differential of $1.00/hr for 10p–6a.
