Residential Services Coordinator

About the role
Under supervision of the Director of Residential Services, provides administrative supports in coordinating essential functions of residential services.
Responsibilities
- Set shifts and fill overtime vacancies: post and award overtime according to guidelines established by management and AFSCME Local 2481.
- Assign staff for medical appointments.
- Check payroll punches twice within each week.
- Send out training notices for recertification training.
- Maintain work schedules.
- Monitor tardiness and absenteeism and send reports to home administrators.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels in accordance with established parameters; implement overtime and floating procedures and notify administrative staff of any issues or concerns.
- Process weekly overtime and notify employees of overtime awarded.
- Review medical calendar and assign staff to accompany youth on medical trips.
- Input daily updates of employee status in ADP.
- Contact employees and send notices of scheduled re-certification training before expiration date.
- Verify staff detailed schedule against actual working hours twice weekly, reviewing for missing punches.
- Notify managers of tardiness and absenteeism of employees in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain listing of employees’ phone numbers on the call list and update employee phone numbers as they become available.
- Act as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of purported abuse or neglect of students as outlined in the agency’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of youth rights and program delivery as defined in the Illinois Department of Mental Health Code, the Confidentiality Act, and the Childcare Act of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
- 60 college credit hours or equivalent years of experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, and Excel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to respond sensitively to people under stressful circumstances.
- A valid Illinois Driver’s license and qualify as a DCFS licensed driver.
- Successful background clearance, physical, and drug/alcohol screening.

Schedule
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, every other weekend.
