Residential Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Bloomingdale, IL, property. The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and grounds with a focus on efficiency, safety and asset protection. This role supports the Service Manager by managing expenses, performing preventative maintenance, conserving energy, and providing outstanding service to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness and address safety concerns.
• Complete unit turns according to the property checklist within established deadlines.
• Proactively address safety concerns and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
• Work on Saturdays as needed.
• Support the Service Manager by managing expenses and promoting workplace harmony.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community.
• Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• A proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the safe and proper use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies.
• Available to work on Saturdays.
