About the role
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Bloomingdale, IL, property. The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, and grounds with a focus on efficiency, safety and asset protection. This role supports the Service Manager by managing expenses, performing preventative maintenance, conserving energy, and providing outstanding service to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily property walks to ensure cleanliness and address safety concerns.
- Complete unit turns according to the property checklist within established deadlines.
- Proactively address safety concerns and maintain a safe environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
- Work on Saturdays as needed.
- Support the Service Manager by managing expenses and promoting workplace harmony.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community.
- Experience in painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- A proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the safe and proper use of common tools, cleaning products and supplies.
- Available to work on Saturdays.
