Residential Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician for our property in Vernon Hills, IL. In this position, you will maintain apartment homes, common areas and grounds; ensure timely unit turns; and meet residents' needs through superior customer care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartment homes, common areas and grounds
• Ensure timely unit turns
• Resolve work orders efficiently and with care
• Respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests
• Perform unit turn work timely to meet deadlines and with a great eye for detail
• Walk the property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Observe all health and safety guidelines
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Community Manager and Service Manager

Qualifications and Expectations

• 3 years prior maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community
• Knowledge of various maintenance functions including plumbing, pools, HVAC, appliance repair and installation, electrical, painting, snow removal, life safety and cleanliness
• Ability to resolve work orders efficiently and with care
• Ability to walk the property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Availability to respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
• Provide exceptional customer service to our residents and guests
• Familiarity with computers
• Work both individually and as part of a team to maximize occupancy and achieve property goals
• Must have valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
• Able to provide exceptional customer service to our residents and guests

Pay

This position pays $23/hr. to $26/hr., based on experience, plus quarterly bonus potential.

Schedule

Available 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
