About the role
The Residential Sales Specialist is a field-based sales position focused on generating new residential and small business customers through direct, face-to-face, door-to-door sales in assigned neighborhoods. This role involves daily neighborhood canvassing, engaging prospective customers at their homes and businesses, and building community relationships. The Specialist is responsible for achieving monthly sales goals, refining sales strategies, and expanding United Fiber’s customer base by promoting the value of fiber broadband services.
Responsibilities
- Generate new residential and small business customers through door-to-door sales.
- Canvass assigned neighborhoods daily to engage prospective customers.
- Build relationships within the communities served by United Fiber.
- Achieve monthly sales goals through personal performance.
- Contribute to developing and refining neighborhood sales strategies and best practices.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience while promoting fiber broadband services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 12 months of sales experience (entry-level).
- Thorough knowledge of first-aid and CPR.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and two or more years of experience are preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Strong ability to integrate business and industry knowledge into your work.
- Ability to build relationships characterized by acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Pay
Expected total compensation ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, including a competitive base salary, performance-based incentives, and a monthly bonus opportunity. Actual compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, and individual performance.
Schedule
This full-time position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexible hours outside normal business hours, including weekends, events, and holidays, may be required.
