Residential Remodeling Estimator

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site visits to assess project scope, take accurate measurements, and identify potential job site challenges.
• Create detailed and accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project timelines using construction estimating software.
• Develop comprehensive project proposals and request, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
• Clearly communicate estimate details to homeowners and address their questions throughout the proposal process.
• Coordinate project handoffs to the production team with complete scope documentation and material selections.
• Maintain accurate estimating data by monitoring local labor and material costs.
• Interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure a complete understanding of the project.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Residential Remodeling Estimator or in a similar construction estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and material sourcing.
• Proficiency with construction estimating software.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications.
• An excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• A professional attitude when working with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
