About the role

The Aileen O'Connor House is an adult residential facility where the Residential Re-Entry Specialist provides client supervision and completes all required program operations. The position requires adherence to Agency policies and procedures for the safety and security of clients, Agency property, and the community. The role involves upholding agency policies, serving as a role model, facilitating counseling, advocacy, and support, administering assessments, monitoring clients' compliance, and facilitating evidence-based groups.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work 15 minutes before scheduled shift.
  • Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
  • Verify physical items being passed between shifts.
  • Ensure security of facility keys.
  • Conduct employment, job search, and home confinement spot checks.
  • Conduct common area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned.
  • Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility.
  • Complete house counts every hour and document results.
  • Transport clients as needed in a Company vehicle.
  • Conduct monthly emergency drills.
  • Schedule clients for monthly urinalysis and complete required paperwork.
  • Sign visitors and contractors in and out of the facility.
  • Facilitate client orientation and movement in and out of the facility.
  • Maintain records of client medication administration.
  • Supervise client visitation.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience in the social service or criminal justice field preferred.
  • Educational requirements may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
  • Able to arrive 15 minutes before shift for shift change, may also be required to stay later.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications
