Responsibilities
- Teach skills such as hygiene, nutrition, safety practices, and daily routines
- Help individuals develop problem solving, communication skills, and other abilities for community living
- Assist with cooking, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other home activities
- Support individuals with transportation, family interactions, medication tasks, and money management
- Maintain records, complete reports, and share updates during team meetings
- Follow fire and safety rules, participate in drills, and help ensure a safe living environment
Requirements
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week, shift work including weekends and holidays. On occasion, staff may need to work outside of the set work week to complete projects, meet work demands or in the event of an emergency. Telework is not available in this position.
Qualifications
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
