Essential Functions
- Follow safety rules and apply safe work practices.
- Dismantle, remove, or relocate equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as conveyors, pumps, air compressors, dye equipment, boilers, heating and air handling, presses, lighting, ovens, and dryers.
- Follow preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Adjust machinery to ensure proper performance.
- Visually inspect and tests machinery using electrical and electronic test equipment
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery
- Install, rebuild or replace electrical parts such as contractors motors starters or wiring
- Able to set up machine tools such as lathe, milling machine, grinder or drill press.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance regulations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- All successful candidates must be able to pass the required background check and drug-screen.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands and arms, climb or balance, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Experience
- HVAC: 1 year (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- EPA Type II (Preferred)
