Responsibilities
- Produce Manual J, S, and D calculations and designs using Wrightsoft
- Create detailed mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of mechanical systems for bidding and construction
- Prepare construction documents in AutoCAD
- Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Preferred 3+ years' experience in Mechanical Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction
- Experience with various cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems
- Experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages

- AutoCAD
- Wrightsoft Elite
- The ability to read blueprints
- Compute dimensions from architectural plans
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well with other engineers/designers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Code Knowledge: Energy and building code compliance for mechanical systems
- Fluent in California Title 24, IRC Residential Codes, ICC International Codes, Uniform building codes
- Drive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments
- Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
- Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc…)
