General Functions
You will use professionalism to provide support to the persons served, leadership to DSPs, and oversight in all aspects of the home environments.
Your DSP team will look to you for mentorship, guidance, and support. You will be a key member of our Support team and responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Be an active member of our Support Team by providing information regarding medical, behavioral, personal, or safety issues pertaining to the persons served and the homes.
- Complete weekly medication checks for each assigned home.
- Ensure that our resident homes exhibit a homelike and personable atmosphere.
- Review, monitor, and keep the communication log book current.
- Return completed documents to the RSD.
- Complete environmental safety checks to ensure that residential homes are in safe working condition and submit work orders via email as necessary (MONTHLY REVIEW).
- May act as a liaison with persons served, their guardians and families when needed.
- Communicate any concerns or disciplinary recommendations to the Residential Service Director.
- Help create and coordinate a person-served and DSP’s a monthly calendar to ensure they are engaging in activities in home and community.
- May assist in completion of OJT’s for new DSP.
- Transport persons served as needed and assist with medical appointments.
- Protect the persons served rights to confidentiality and privacy at all times and provide a Abuse and Neglect free environment.
- Participate in (EAP) Emergency Action Plan and ensure safety response procedures of staff and persons served.
- Must be available for emergency issues and participate in on call shift rotation as required by the RSD.

Requirements
- ADSP certified with 1 year of Experience
- At least 23 years of age
- A high school diploma or GED
- Valid IL driver’s license (2 years) and driving record must be approved by insurance
Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are the same requirements of employees that are currently working as a Direct Support Professional.
